    FOCUS ISSUES: Around the World

Come with us on a creative adventure as we explore art influenced by the the cultures of the world. Our cover artist is Carla M. Thomas. Carla's work is always almost instantly recognizable. A perfect blend of colors, techniques, and shapes are taken to the next level, with added details, often exhibiting an exotic feel. Carla is also a Create Along Design Team member this year and we are excited to share her work as a team member, as well as in this issue of Passion for Polymer. She shares a gorgeous tutorial for "Fan Dance" jewelry that we know you will love. The Polymer Chef is showing you how you can transform canes and other clay into a very unique home decor project. I'm sharing a rather challenging attempt at recreating "faux ancient Asian jade" - which I just had to laugh at myself throughout. You'll also meet another polymer artist who is giving back to her community through her art. We've got a lovely floral project from Anastasia Kondel, a colorful option for bottle art by Sandy Huntress, and fabulous project from the African Rain Goddess project by Orieta Dimadi. We are so excited to not only bring you tutorials inspired by places around the world, but also created by artists around the world! In The Color Corner with Jessica Hager, Jessica shares how to create a absolutely GORGEOUS color palette inspired by the island of Bermuda. Check it out and learn how you could possibly be published in an upcoming issue. And, as always, our Gallery has many unique projects to inspire you! Thank you to all who participate in our monthly challenges! We would love to have you share your versions of the techniques and projects each month in our Create Along Polymer Clay Tribe Facebook group - an amazing, creative, interactive community with over 20,000 members from around the world. Join the group at PolymerClayTribe.com.As always, we encourage all artists to submit their work for consideration for upcoming issues. Passion for Polymer is YOUR magazine. We want to continue to highlight the work of a variety of creative artists from around the world, with vastly different styles, and the best way to do that is by inviting all of you to share your work! You can find our submission information, themes, and deadlines at PassionforPolymer.com.

Made in Florida on side in our shop with a fleet of lasers, 3d printers, and love.

    Why buy CreateAlong?

We've been supporting the clay + crafting community since 2007. Kira has a B.S. in Art Education and has been teaching since she was 13- her first job as a summer camp counselor. Our tools are thoughtfully designed, tested, and many have product demos on our YouTube channel @polymerclaytv, with over 800 videos ready to watch.

    FAQ's

    Who makes the products?

We are a small business woman-owned and operated from north Florida. Kira is the owner and designer, Shannon is the Mistress of Manufacture operating our 3d printers, lasers, and other equipment, and Erin is our Shipping Elf.

A very few of our products- such as our metal sculpting tools, are curated wholesale from various places since we do not have metal manufacturing capabilities in our in-house shop.

How can I care for my products so they last?

To ensure long life, you should always use a soft cloth and water if necessary to remove excess clay, paint, mica powders, or glue residue from the tools immediately after use.

Especially for silkscreens- paint must be rinsed away before it dries on the screen or else you may permanently ruin it by clogging the tiny holes.

    Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship to Canada and Australia here - we ship everywhere else on Etsy because of the current state of the USPS. Etsy has more protection- for you, and for us, with international packages. Shop our ETSY.

What if I don't like what I bought? Return policy?

If you don't like what you purchased, you can claim a store credit for the item within 60 days for 90% of the product purchase price. Or, send it back unused within 60 days for 100% refund on the product purchase price.

    What if something arrives broken?

We have a no-risk policy. If something is broken in the mail please email us a photo (we really want to see what happened so we can fix the issues) and we'll send you a new one.

How do you ship? How long does it take, and do I get tracking?

We use USPS Ground Advantage for most packages. We try to ship within a day or two of your order. Sometimes- because our Mistress of Manufacture lives over an hour from the shipping workshop, it may take a little longer if we are waiting on supplies to be restocked. You will receive tracking via email and you can log in to your account to see past orders and tracking.
